Aberystwyth Town Council

Aberystwyth Town council received SPF funding towards Project Aber at the end of 2024. We were commissioned to design and produce a wide range of interpretation products, including heritage trails and information panels, aimed at assisting visitors in navigating the town.

The boards and trails are vibrant, functional, and celebratory of Aberystwyth’s unique heritage, identity and language.

The amazing map was created by artist Nikki Pontin, who’s illustrations became the foundation and inspiration for the design of both the panels and literature. Each information panel features a bespoke rubbing plate showcasing Nikki’s animal illustrations, additionally we created a small book indicating the locations of each sign and includes blank pages for children to create their own animal rubbings.

We also produced a set of three town trail leaflets, each highlighting different aspects of Aberystwyth’s heritage. These leaflets were titled the Waves and Wonders: A Promenade Trail, A Story by The Sea: Literature Trail and lastly A Walk Through Time: History Trail

All interpretation panels were constructed using our flagship CADARN signs, ensuring longevity and durability in Aberystwyth’s coastal environment. With their anti-vandal and fade-resistant properties, the panels will remain clearly visible for many years ahead.
